The overall goal of postpartum coaching is to provide support to individuals and families in relation to fertility, pregnancy loss, birth, and postpartum. Services offered are geared towards but not limited to birth planning, postpartum planning, processing fears associated with birth, navigating family transitions, body image, and general well-being.

Meet Your Coach, LaQueta.

LaQueta Bartley MS, Eds, LCMHC is a clinical mental health counselor with 6 years of clinical experience. She gained an interest in maternal mental health after experiencing her own struggles with postpartum depression following the birth of her now 4 year old son. LaQueta is now trained in perinatal mood disorders and will soon be certified in that specialty. She has a passion for meeting new parents right where they are and supporting them as they navigate through a variety of transitions.

How is coaching different from therapy?

Coaching is slightly different from therapy. Therapists diagnose and provide professional expertise and guidelines, and coaches help clients identify the challenges, then work in partnership with clients to obtain their goals. Many can benefit from postpartum coaching including first time parents, parents adding to their family, and families that have experienced loss. The overall goal of postpartum coaching is to provide support to individuals and families in relation to fertility, pregnancy loss, birth, and postpartum. Services offered are geared towards but not limited to birth planning, postpartum planning, processing fears associated with birth, navigating family transitions, body image, and general well-being.

While LaQueta is a licensed therapist, therapy services are not currently being offered at this time. If it is felt like intensive therapy is needed, the client with be referred out
